It's been a while..

MAY 16, 2016

Hello! We are still active and I am have just settled into a space to start looking at/editing footage from the trip almost 2 years ago. It has been a long hard journey and am now excited to dive back into the Dusty Graves world! I hope to actually have a teaser/trailer of some footage released within the next few months, how exciting!!

Home

DECEMBER 21, 2014

I know it's been a while, so I thought and update was in order. We been back home for a while now and have decided to take a break before starting the editing process. All the hard work we did this year was incredible and the road trip was hard and emotional, and a little break is much needed. I hope all of you understand, the editing process will take a while, but we plan on releasing bits of edited footage and a trailer of sorts sometime within the next few months. I am also currently planning an art show for spring in Columbia, MO featuring Jaye's art that we procured on the trip. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this process! We couldn't have done it without all our amazing friends and family!

Montana, Washington, California, Arizona

September 11th, 2014

Ahhhh....what a beautiful interesting journey it's been. We interviewed two of Jaye's old friends, one in San Francisco, and one outside of Santa Monica. I got to read old letters and see old pictures and a few drawings of Jaye's. We are in Arizona, going to interview my Mom and another old friend tomorrow. The Grand Canyon will be our last stop this weekend, then back home!!

Recovered Art & Photos

August 29th, 2014

While in Montana, I was gifted some photos of my dad that I had never seen and a few pieces of his late art! I would like to share some of it with you.

This is a photo of Jaye from when he was 16 or 17, 1959, I'm guessing. I have never seen this before and it is such a treasure to have found.

My cousin did sign these with crayon, luckily around the border, and I am in the process of removing it.

Week one on the road

August 28th, 2014

Hello! I know we haven't posted an update in a while, it's been crazy since we made our goal, which we are super grateful for!! So here we are in Montana, our first week in. We filmed our first interview a few days ago with Jaye's brother in Hot Springs, MT, and got some old photos from him, some of which we will post up on the website soon. We also got ahold of some of Jaye's art from 2003 -2005, from my cousins in Kalispell yesterday, it's just a few pieces but they are amazing and I am so grateful to have them. We are on our way west to Idaho & Washington today and having a great time! We have an Instgram if anyone would like to follow us on there, #dustygravesfilm.

A little piece of lost art recovered!

July 14th, 2014

We are halfway to our $5,000 goal! Eeeeee!!!! This is so fantastic! We will be posting a video update within the next few days, so until then, here's something pretty special.

I received a letter and piece of art in the mail a few days ago from one of Jaye's old friends, I had never seen this piece or anything like it until now and wanted to share it with all of you. It is beautiful, apparently Jaye made these for friends of his often and didn't really consider them as art, but rather a little personal gift. I was speechless when this fell into my lap.

We still need help to make the rest of our goal, so we can continue to uncover things like this that we didn't know existed before! With only a few weeks left, please keep sharing and supporting our project! Thank you for everything, it means the world!
